Environmental protection
An environmental analysis was carried out which enabled Château Larose Trintaudon to identify and prioritise the impacts the company was having on the environment. After this inventory, Château Larose Trintaudon decided on a certain number of commitments to reduce and control the impact of our activities on our natural environment and to protect our Biodiversity by:
- limiting the amount of plant protection products that we use and seeking out products that are less harmful for the environment and for our workers;
- making optimal use of our waste by selecting the most economically viable and most environmentally friendly treatment process;
- saving energy by controlling our consumption of natural resources (water, gas, electricity, fuel, etc.);
- creating and maintaining a “hunting reserve”, a 186-ha protected zone, also training company staff to deal with emergency situations (fire, etc.) for better management and protection of the natural spaces in the vineyard;
- analysing all purchases made by the estate in order to limit their ecological impact;
- monitoring regulation compliance with Environmental Protection Installation (ICPE Installation Classée pour la Protection de l'Environnement) nomenclatures.
