In that year

Weather was exceptionally hot and dry throughout the vegetative phase with the polyphenols (tannins and colour) taking a long time to develop their maturity, especially for the Cabernet Sauvignons where the plants had suffered considerable stress. At harvest, sugar concentration levels were the highest that had ever been seen before and plants were in perfect health.

Tasting notes

The colour has great intensity and very great depth. The nose is complex, with spicy notes (vanilla-black pepper) and also some attractive notes of small dark fruits (blackcurrant). The tannic structure is imposing but merges well into the soft, long tannins. Its fullness is remarkable, it certainly has great potential.

Serving suggestions

Decant 3 hours before serving. 

Drink before 2016.
